Junior/Mid Technical ETRM Business Analyst

Dataciders ROITI is an energy trading and risk management (ETRM) consultancy founded in 2013. Our expertise spans every major energy commodity — power, gas, oil, coal, freight, and emissions — and the IT solutions we build sit at the heart of our clients’ operations: asset optimization (including algo trading), data management and reporting, process improvements, and derivatives trading and risk assessment.

Configure, integrate and test energy trading and risk management software, and support the setup and development of various systems in the IT landscape of energy trading companies?

Our ideal candidate will have the following profile:

• Fluent English (a must-have)
• Critical thinking
• Good analytical skills, preferably with a quantitative background
• Technical affinity and eagerness to understand how things are built and work
• Proactive approach — avid to learn and asking for feedback and support, if needed
• Ability to solve problems both individually and in teams
• Customer relationship and stakeholder management experience
• Knowledge in energy (e.g. power, gas, RES; generation, transmission, trading) and/or finance (e.g. derivatives, risk metrics, quants, pricing models)
• Experience with/exposure to some of the following technologies: Docker/Kubernetes concepts, Linux commands, Shell scripts, API concepts, etc.
• Familiarity with databases
• Education in any of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance
• Example previous roles might be: Technical Project Manager, Technical Delivery Lead, Software Project Manager, Product Owner, IT Business Analyst, Finance Business Analyst and the like
• Readiness to work flexible hours/shifts — start early (e.g. 8:00 am) and finish early, or start late and finish late (e.g. 8:00 pm)

Good to know

We are looking for candidates who are open to relocate to Sofia, if not already based here. Since that is the location of our office, having the ability to be present when needed is important. We embrace a hybrid work model with extended home office options, but there are occasions when in-office presence is required, especially during the onboarding process.
